Program Services

Designed to help low income and at risk families residing in the Sylvania school district, SAFS may provide:

Emergency food and/or a voucher for clothing
Harvest, a weekly food distribution program
Government Commodities Distribution
Limited utility and rental assistance
Holiday baskets, Thanksgiving and Christmas
Information and Referral Services

Youth Services

Offering:

After school programs for several area schools (by referral)
Summer day camp for low income and at risk youth (by referral)
A summer hot lunch site for all youth under the age of 19, please call the center for more details.

Youth Diversion Program

A community program designed for first time, non-violent juvenile offenders between the ages of 11-17 (18 if still in high school) who offend in or reside in Sylvania City or Township. Families must meet criteria for acceptance. Successful completion of this program will result in no juvenile record.
