2008 Holiday Basket Information
How do I apply for a basket?
- Applicant must provide the following:
- proof of residency (must live in the Sylvania school disrict)
- proof of income (must fall within 200% of poverty guideline)
- provide social security numbers for everyone in the household
*Applications can be filled out at SAFS from September 22nd- December 1st Monday- Thursday between the hours of 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-11am
How do I adopt a family?
As you know, the holiday season is once again fast approaching. Sylvania Area Family Services is begining our holiday basket preparations.
We are in search of individuals and groups who can share with our friends and neighbors in need by "adopting" families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It may come as a suprise to hear about underprivilaged residents in Sylvania, but SAFS provided approximately 450 holiday baskets in 2007.
By adopting a family, you can ensure a brighter season for these Sylvania residents.
